Soiling Our Hands Since 1971
Who are the Tucson Organic Gardeners?
Tucson Organic Gardeners began more than 40
years ago as a club where people who chose to use organic methods to
maintain their gardens could exchange ideas and enjoy fellowship. Today
almost 200 members, associates and friends continue this tradition through
frequent lectures, potlucks, and hands-on advice in the monthly
newsletter, The Composter, all for a modest membership fee.
Our Mission Statement: We avoid the use
of deleterious materials in our relationship with the Earth. We encourage
the use of nature's resources as a guide for sustainable living. We strive
to educate the public about organic gardening, including composting
through events, programs, workshops and other means of communication.
