Monthly Meetings

Our free programs are held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, September – April. We are currently holding hybrid (virtual and in-person) meetings. Please check event details for in-person location. To attend virtually: if you are not on our mailing list, please email tucsonorganicgardeners@gmail.com to request a link to the meeting at least 24 hours before the meeting.

Early Tomato Plant Sale

You can plant as early as February 15 in Tucson. Planting in February allows fruit to form before the summer’s heat shuts down pollination and fruit set.

Saturday, February 21, from 10 am to 1 pm at Rincon Heights Community Garden, 1047 E. 8th Street, (1/2 block west of Park Ave.)

Small plants $2 each and large plants $4.00 each

50% of proceeds will be donated to the Pollinator Equity Project, a committee of Sustainable Tucson. We propagate native pollinator plants for donation to the community in partnership with Tucson Clean and Beautiful the Community Gardens of Tucson and Tucson Organic Gardeners.

Cash transactions only as we have no means of processing credit cards  

Organically raised heirloom Tomato varieties for 2026 include:  Amish Paste, Cherokee Chocolate, Cherokee Purple, Early Girl hybrid, Geranium Kiss, Green Sausage, Green Zebra, Italian Gold, Large Red Cherry, Marglobe, Martino’s Roma, Orange Icicle, Roma, Striped Roma, Stupice, Sungold Select, Supernova, Tommy Toe, Valencia, Yellow Pear
